Boroganism flower long Jacket
Boroganism flower long Jacket
The Boro series is constructed by layering approximately four pieces of indigo-dyed denim, then carefully abrading the surface to reveal the hidden layers beneath—bringing depth and history into the fabric.
In this piece, a layer of red is introduced using vintage Japanese beni-bana (safflower-dyed) cloth.
This red layer is combined with gauze and denim, then brought to the surface through a specialized grinding process, allowing the color to emerge organically.
The design on the reverse side draws inspiration from Japan’s ‘Hinomaru’ flag, depicting the sun sinking into the sea as if melting into the evening sky.
A rose motif is subtly imprinted on the back, adding a delicate yet distinctive signature.
